How can she still remember me?

I've been talking to an old friend via facebook, and we've started catching up. What really surprised me is that she actually remembers me.



We sat next to each other in the second grade and we got along really well. (We were 7, we're 19 now) We haven't been able to talk to each other since then. It turns out we saw each other on the street a year ago. She recognized me and waved, which stunned me, considering I'm over 2 feet taller and I look absolutely nothing like I did when I was 7. I thought it might've been her, but I by the time figured it out, she was long gone.



I added her on facebook a while back, and she seems really happy to be talking to me again. Still, what boggles my mind is that she remembered me after all these years. No old friend has ever remembered me, especially not from 10+ years ago. (When I left public school for an online program in 8th grade, no one even realized I that I'd left) It'd be one thing if we were in our 30s and we had gone to high school together, but we were only 7.



I asked her about that, and she posted a response about saying my name to herself. Then she posted how weird it was that she did that, then she removed them soon after (I didn't read much into that, mainly because I have a pretty unusual name lol) I'm a little unsure as what's going on now.





(I'm a guy and I did have a crush on her back then, but I never got to tell her)

wow that is amazing. lots of people have really good memories. i remember this one girl that was in my kindergarten class but she moved away in first grade. i think i saw her last year, but when i looked again she was gone. it was weird.How can she still remember me?

First of all, thats awesome, she remembers you! I mean girls have great memories. I remember seeing an old best friend in middle school, we used to be best friends in kindergarden and i was in eigth grade. I remembered her so clearly yet she didnt remember me. It was sad, but her remembering you kinda shows that she really cared about you, she would make an awesome friend :)
Some people have really good memories for people that's all. And I think the bigger issue here is why you keep wondering why she remembered you - sounds like you have a little C*R*U*S*H* on her and are hoping someone will say, "I know! She remembered you because she loves you and you were destined 2 b together!" Well the only way to make love happen and find out about destiny is to begin at the beginning and ask her out on date! Go for it! ;)
