How long after sex should I be able to take a pregnancy test?

I had sex yesterday with my boyfriend unprotected. My periods are irregular so i'm not too sure when i'm meant to come on. Would the test be accurate if I take it at a time like now anyway? Or do I wait a few more days? How long after sex should I be able to take a pregnancy test?No the test will not be accurate. Most test you have to wait until the day of your period, the longer you wait the higher the accuracy. You can use emergency contraception up to five days after unprotected sex. Emergency contraception is most effective the earlier you take it, you can get it over the counter at your local pharmacy. How long after sex should I be able to take a pregnancy test?
You can't take it the day after having sex. Wait 4 weeks and then take a test. How long after sex should I be able to take a pregnancy test?A pregnancy test is determined by a hormone you have only while pregnant. The longer you wait, the stronger the hormone will get, the more accurate the test will be. But, their are some tests out there that claim they work the day after. I wouldn't be one to trust those though... Good luck. How long after sex should I be able to take a pregnancy test?
