How can you tell if you have autosomal or sex-linked traits in fruit fly experiment?

I was wondering how I can tell if I have autosomal mutant traits or Sex-linked. So far I have traits dealing with Wingless(apterous) white and black eyes. How can you tell if you have autosomal or sex-linked traits in fruit fly experiment?Just make reciprocal crosses.

In autosomal traits, reciprocal crosses don't make any different results in progeny.

In sex-linked traits, reciprocal crosses will produce different results in progeny.

Note: reciprocal cross means you change which fly you use as the female parent and that as the male parent.
