How come gays have no real argument for same sex marriage?

The 1st and 14th Amendment do not support their sexual desires and all gays are free, like straights, to marry adult members of the opposite sex.



Can any one show me one sentence in either the 1st or 14th Amendment that says that people who choose to have sex with the same sex must be treated different and allowed to marry a member of the same sex.



In fact, what gays are asking is for us, to make a special treatment designed to discriminated against gays by making them a separate and unequal class.How come gays have no real argument for same sex marriage?Can you show me one sentence in either the 1st or 14th Amendment that says men cannot practice polygamy? Or, does the constitution prohibit a boy from marrying his mother? Or, do any Amendments prohibit a man from marrying a robot, or between species? None of these are in the constitution. They are either state laws or ethical convention supported by a majority of the citizens.



Gays and Lesbians have a right to live as they choose, they don鈥檛 have the right to redefine marriage for all of us. Every culture throughout all of history has always regarded marriage as an institution between a man and a woman. Why? Even cultures which honored homosexual relationships have never regarded them the same as marriage. Why?



If gays what to celebrate their love for each other then fine. But that is not the same as marriage.



Where your logic falters is in the misconception that marriage is a right between people in love. Are you saying that all those cultures which practiced arranged marriages throughout history were wrong. Are arranged marriages invalid? About half of the world today still practices arranged marriage. For these people it is more respectable. You see, love is good, but you cannot marry just because you are in love.How come gays have no real argument for same sex marriage?When this country was made, black people were slaves. Women couldn't become president or even vote. Anyone who wasn't a white, straight, male was unequal to them. As far as I'm concerned, your precious amendments don't mean anything. Gay people deserve to get married because they're HUMAN BEINGS. NOT wild animals, NOT space invaders, and CERTAINLY NOT hypocritical bigots who don't know what they're talking about. If you had even a fraction of understanding of what it's like to be gay, or different, or considered "unnatural" by your peers, I would take you seriously. But you don't...so I don't.
