I have had a baby and she is 5 weeks nearly six, so i was wondering when would be the appropriate time to resume sex with my husband?? Is it true that you are ore likely to concieve quicker after giving birth??How long after giving birth do you start feeling comfortable in having sex?I was the horniest thing on two legs. I could barely wait six weeks. Me and my husband had sex 5 weeks after I gave birth, and it felt great and no pain. The doctor does tell all mothers to wait until 6 weeks postpartum.
You are more fertile after birth. So use protection, birth control or something. You wouldn't want a pregnancy scare right afer giving birth. How long after giving birth do you start feeling comfortable in having sex?
My son is 7 months old. I had him natuarally without medication and I did not have a episiotomy (where they cut you) is your vagina skin still sensitive? Like when you pee does it still hurt? ( My skin stretched down there and that is why I was burning not like any other reason) If not I think you should be fine. My husband and I only waited 9 days , and it still was burning when i p'd but it was just fine. Make sure to use some sort of lubricant though we used the plain ky jelly. If you did have an episiotomy it may be different for you. I breast feed and I have not had a period yet, so that helps to keep your menses at bay for a while and prevent conception, but if you are not bfing make sure your man wears a condom or get on birth control. I hope that is helpful. How long after giving birth do you start feeling comfortable in having sex? They say 6 weeks... I didnt wait that long.. having sex at the end was painful so we couldnt do it for a few months... The reason they say if easier to get preggo again is because most ppl assume they havnt had there period so they cant get preggo... thats not true since you ovulate before you get your first period. If you are breast feeding it will take a while before you get your first period but if you are giving formula you can get your period right away (i had mine 2 weeks after i stopped bleeding) Just use a condom and your good to go. Just take it easy at first and see if your comfterble
While the mum is still bleeding it is very dangerous to have penetrative intercourse because the motion can force air into the wound and cause an embolism. Of course most mums would not want to at that stage, although a friend of mine did.
It is possible to get pregnant straight away - many women are pregnant at their six week check-up.
I personally did not want to for some time as I felt 'touched out' but I think the answer is 'whenever you genuinely feel ready'.How long after giving birth do you start feeling comfortable in having sex?Doctors recommended 6 weeks before having intercourse.
I agreed! No way I could've had penetration before then.
But there are 'other things' to explore.... :)
And yes, it is easier to get pregnant after you are finished with your post pregnancy bleeding, just like the day after your period. Something to do with ovulating longer, I think. %26lt;Check that though for accuracy.

I was told to wait six weeks after I went back for my routine check up...Each person is different...I wouldn't rush into it either...you still may be sore and you don't realize it...and it's true that you're alot more prone to get pregnant right after pregnancy...so use protectionHow long after giving birth do you start feeling comfortable in having sex?
i had sex with my bf as soon as i stopped bleeding down there(3-4weeks). We just took it easy the first few times b.c we talked about how it could hurt me. So if your bf is cool with just taking it easy the first few times then i say when your done bleeding! **** go for it!!! :)
You can start having sex again as soon as you feel comfortable. I started after 31/2 weeks after, it's very individual but do not forget about contraception, it's very easy to conceive straight after having a baby xxx have fun xxx
Hi. You are advised to wait until after your 8 week post natal check but if you are feeling ok down below then it will be fine but if you are still a little tender i would wait until you feel 100%. Definately use protection though.
If you take birth control pills or get your theiroid removed you can have sex. I do this because I dont want a kid, and I love having sex.
I had it after about a week, I had no stitches though, just grazes.
Just take it slow and gentle. You will know when you are ready
