We know that sex flourish underground and it is not always pretty. It is a world of addiction, violence, exploitation and death but if some sexual practices were performed publicly then sex would become honest and transparent.





Please tell me your view on this sensitive subject.What exactly is wrong with sex in public?Many of our moral hangups actually come from trying to keep ourselves civil and under an acceptable form of control. Remember, we're just a few genes over from chimpanzees and baboons. This whole 'civilization' thing we've been trying out for the last few thousand years has been a pretty rocky road, as the daily news will tell you.



I can see a babe in a bikini, and feel pretty much in control of myself! But if the couple next to me is going at it, and I'm a big strong guy with a little impulse control problem, then violence might ensue. If you stir up people's most primally programmed urges and give them the sense that to act on those urges is somewhat acceptable, then we'll be fighting each other over things we've almost quit fighting each other over, all over again.



Plus, like was already mentioned by someone else, you're not in control over who sees you and what effect it might have on them. When it comes to kids, monkey see monkey do is often true. It's not just social conditioning by the overly religious - - we are instinctively embarrassed by being caught or by seeing someone else going at it because we instinctively know that we don't want to be in that potentially volatile situation.What exactly is wrong with sex in public?
Aside from a handful, most of these answers are terrible. They barely scratch the surface of this topic, giving only their biased prejudices. They have a prejudice first, then think up of reasons afterwards to support it, not the other way around.



It is a cultural thing, like why is it wrong to naked in public. Maybe, thousands of years ago, the cultures who didn't have sex in public beat out the cultures who did, and that's why there (as far as I know) aren't public sex cultures.What exactly is wrong with sex in public?For humans, sex in public is both embarrassing for the people performing it and the people watching it. Few things wrong with sex in public.



1. Parents wouldn't want their children to watch it and then act in such a manner.

2. Nudity is embarrassing; too much thought destroys their self esteem.

3. It is done privately because of critizism.

4. It distracts people and disturbs the peace

5. It is a physical act of lust, which demonstrates that sex is more important than love.
And now we are to behave like dogs in the name of what? Nature? It's natural? We are to become inured to it by some Freudian reasoning?

The reason why we don't have public sex is for a number of reasons but I think that the best reasons are; (1) decorum, (2) dignity (3) it's a private act (4) it's morally repugnant.
