Does having sex too rough cause a condom to break?

What causes a condom to break?

What are the chances for a condom to break?Does having sex too rough cause a condom to break? What are the chances for a condom to break? The most common reason for a broken condom is storage heat. Keeping one in the back pocket or in the glove compartment of a car for instance will ruin the latex. Another problem of a torn condom could be the way it's taken out of the package (such as with teeth, a knife or sissors).

Condom "failure" is around 40% outside the lab (where the failure rate is less than 2%). Another part of failure included in that is the condom head is too tight. There has to be room for the sperm to go besides up the shaft and out through the top.Does having sex too rough cause a condom to break? What are the chances for a condom to break? On occasion, yes. Especially depending on the quality of it. I've had a few scares in the past. Quality matters. A lot.

Sure, they stretch all right, but you can stretch it too far...

I would say maybe about 1 in 20 will break if you gung-ho like a blue balled bull regularly. Take it easy 'n sleazy and you may never break one ever.Does having sex too rough cause a condom to break? YES! Any sex, but especially rough sex will cause a condom to break, especially if you're in a slanted position that puts more force on the condom. More likely, though is that it will slip off completely. There is no way to avoid it really, just have to be careful (have the guy hold the condom at base to prevent slippage). You do want to use Trojans though, they are the best. Don't ever use those cheapy Durex ones, they break ALOT easier.

Chances are very good that a condom will fail. I am sure you've heard this all before, but the ONLY way to prevent STDs is abstinence. More practical advice is to not have sex with men you don't know. Depending on your life maybe you could start a sister circle and all of you can sleep with the same group of guys. Tell each other who uses a condom regularly and who is a giver. Just a thought, but obviously won't work for everyone...

Also, maybe try a female condom or birth control pills.

Good luck and STAY SAFE!!!
