How to buy a computer with no credit card?

I'm 18 and I've been wanting to buy my own computer for a very long time, I'm a gamer so I want it to be nice and I want it to last a while so its gunna be a hefty price. I have a savings account with about a thousand dollars in it, which I saved specifically for a computer. My parents would be the ones who need to but it though because i don't have a credit card and I have no idea how to use them nor do I want one really, but I have money that I can't spend without one. (Online purchases and such).

Dell or alienware or maybe even a cheaper less known brand of computers is what I'm looking to buy, brand makes no difference to me, as long as it performs well and has good warranty and help services, get the best bang for my buck type deal.

Just as an example, say I go for a dell (probably the worst choice out of any, but jus for the sake of discussion) they have financing options, but probably require a credit check

Would I need to apply for a credit card just to be able to make this purchase and finance it? Won't the interest rates be extremely high if I jus got the credit card? Will they even let someone with no credit history buy anything?

I tried to be as clear as I can, its all mind boggling to me. I really don't want to mess with credit and crap, but I'm good with money(knock on wood) and won't buy what I can't pay for. All I'm lookn to do is buy a computer ($2,000 at the most, I already have half that in the bank so can't I make a down payment with that? And then finance the other half for several months? Pay it off after a while and live happily ever after? How to buy a computer with no credit card?
Same way my parents bought their first home. Pay in cash. Save enough money to buy one, then go buy it. Or ask if you could pay in 2 installments, like my parents did in the 60's.

They never use CC, even in the 2010.
You can buy a computer with no credit card, no loan, no credit, etc., the same way as you can buy almost anything else:

You go to the bank, withdraw the money from your account in cash, go to a store that sells computers, and use the cash to pay the store for a computer sold in the store. How to buy a computer with no credit card?
You probably will not be approved for a credit card since you are under 21.

What you should do is just open a bank account and get a debit card that has a Visa or MC logo on it. When you have enough money saved to buy this computer, use your debit card.
Don't buy a computer from a big box store. Dude, it's cyber Monday today! Build it yourself, or pay 50 dollars to have them build it for you, Newegg.com or NCIX.com, pricematch using online price comparison, get the best price in the whole country for every component.

Get a credit card, but you can use your your bank account with paypal, or with online bill payment using your bank.

2000 will buy you an amazing computer, heck $750 will buy you a decent gaming rig including a 22 inch monitor and speakers wireless kb mouse too.

shop around online, educate yourself, if your really a gamer don't be PC ignorant. How to buy a computer with no credit card?
Your resistance to credit cards may work against you in later life when you need a loan for a car or a mortgage and you are declined due to no credit history. However, one credit card is enough for anyone. People who have four or five (unless genuinely wealthy) seem rather immature and are definitely playing with fire.
You are 18.

I would open a checking account at your age.

Look for a local bank with totally free checking.

I strongly believe that no one that is 18 or older should go without a checking account.

You will get a debit card that you can use for all your purchases.

Have you tried looking at Walmart.com?

They can deliver site to store at no cost. And I think they offer Dell computers.

Compare prices.

Unfortunately, at age 18, you will not be able to get financing for your computer unless your parents co-sign for you.

New Federal laws pass in February of 2010...
