I have great service from comcast, my internet works fine and I have no real problems at all. But , when I go to remove my ethernet cord from the computer and place it into the playstation, my playstation tells me that it can not make a connection. I just got Madden 08 and first I need to set up a network configuration setting, which is no problem. At the very end of the set-up it does a connection test, and it tells me that my connection has "timed out". I have never had this problem and it boggles my mind that the ethernet cord works great in the computer, but when I place it in the playstation I lose my connection. Does anyone have any suggestions? I tried calling comcast and they said they can't do anything for me. Someone please help. Thanx.Does anyone have comcast high-speed internet and play PS2 online?
This happened to me when I was trying to get on Socom. What worked for me was unplugging the cable modem first. Then disconnect the ethernet and connect it to your playstation and replug in your modem. THEN do the network config. I advise getting a router because it will make your life ALOT easier. But until then, try this and see if it works =)
