It really boggles my mind because now, I have to go and buy one myself. And if I do buy one online, how will I know to get the 4 or 6 pin cable?Why doesn't my Sony HC30 camcorder not come with a Firewire Cable?
Firewire's been around for a long time now - many of the people buying new camcorders already own at least one cable. You've given the second reason yourself - should they supply 4 pin to 4 pin or 4 pin to 6 pin? The firewire socket on your camcorder is 4 pin - if your PC's socket is different you need a 4 pin to 6 pin, if they're the same it's 4 pin to 4 pin.Why doesn't my Sony HC30 camcorder not come with a Firewire Cable?
The 4 Pin is smaller then the 6 pin.
